What we are, plainly

Dallas Air & Heating is a service line, not a fleet of trucks. We do not send our own technicians to your house. What we do is make sure that when your system quits, you reach a real HVAC company quickly instead of working your way down a list of numbers that ring out.

When you call, the line picks up right away. If you need cooling or heating help, you are transferred to a local company whose technicians hold the air conditioning and refrigeration contractor license Texas requires. That company diagnoses the problem, quotes the job and does the work. You deal with them directly, and you pay them directly. We charge you nothing for the connection.

What happens when you call

  1. The call is answered. Day or night, weekday or weekend. You will not be sent to voicemail.
  2. You say what is wrong. No cooling, no heat, a unit that runs and runs, water where it should not be. A sentence is enough.
  3. You are transferred. The HVAC company picks up already knowing why you called, so you do not have to start from the beginning.
  4. If they cannot answer, your name, number, city and the problem are taken down and passed along so you get a call back.

Nobody on the line will quote you a price or diagnose your system over the phone. That is the technician’s job, once someone has actually looked at the equipment. Anyone who prices a repair sight unseen is guessing.

Why this matters more in Dallas than most places

Dallas runs air conditioning seven months of the year, and from June through September systems run almost without a break. The equipment itself usually sits in the attic, where temperatures climb well past the air outside. That combination is hard on capacitors, fan motors and compressors, and it means breakdowns cluster on the hottest days, exactly when every HVAC company in town is busiest and hardest to reach.

For elderly relatives, babies and anyone with a medical condition, a dead AC in August is a safety problem, not an inconvenience. If someone in the house is showing signs of heat illness, call 911 first and deal with the air conditioner second.

Check any HVAC company yourself

Whoever you hire, including anyone we connect you with, you can confirm the license in about a minute. Texas licenses air conditioning and refrigeration contractors through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and the license number should appear on the company’s paperwork and advertising.

How to check: ask for the TDLR license number, then look it up at tdlr.texas.gov. You will see the license holder’s name, the license type and whether it is active.

It is also fair to ask for a written estimate before work starts, what warranty covers the labor as well as the parts, and whether a repair makes sense before anyone talks about replacing the whole system.
